PAPI Theory of operations

This course dives deep into the fundamentals and theory of Precision Approach Path Indicators. It is based on the ICAO Annex 14 and ICAO Design manual.

After this course, the attendee will gain a deep understanding of the PAPI setting, installation, power supply and design requirements. He will be able to determine, based on the airfield configuration, on the presence of ILS/MLS and on other factors, how the PAPI setting and location will be influenced.
